Chemical Peel
Chemical Peel of the Skin of the Face, Neck, Neckline, Hands, and Back
Chemical peels are special medical treatments for the removal of the damaged skin layers of the face, neck, neckline, hands, and back, with the help of special liquids (acids). Depending on the depth of skin damage, surface, medium, or deep chemical peels may be applied. The goal of the treatment is to remove all imperfections such as changes in pigmentation, blemishes, enlarged pores, and acne scars, and create new, youthful, and radiant uniform skin.
Did you know that the first chemical peels made from fermented fruits and their seeds were applied by Cleopatra in ancient Egypt in order to preserve a youthful and uniform appearance of the skin? The fermentation of fruit creates a chemical reaction, making it the forerunner of today’s fruit acids, and the crushed pits help exfoliate and remove the dead layers of the skin.
The Effect of Chemical Peels
The goal of the treatment is to gradually remove the damaged skin layers and replace it with a new, youthful, regenerated skin. Depending on the nature of the changes, the appropriate acid is chosen and strictly prescribed methods of use are followed, therefore it is of utmost importance that this procedure should be performed by a professional medical person who will achieve the best results with the help of quality products and their proper application.
After the treatment, the epidermis is renewed and the dermis architecture improved due to the increased biosynthesis of collagen and hyaluronic acid, gradually rejuvenating and revitalizing the skin.

The Treatment Description
After a consultation with our doctors, an individual plan and approach are designed for each client according to the complexity of the problem. Based on the changes in the skin and the effect we want to achieve, we also choose the appropriate type of chemical peels. First of all, they have a different composition, from fruit acids to stronger ones such as salicylic and mandelic acid, lipoic acid, lactobionic acid, and others.
The treatment is performed on the clean skin, cleansed of makeup, impurities, and excess sebum. Depending on the skin, a gentle exfoliation and removal of impurities with a special tool can be performed first, after which the excess sebum is removed so that the acid has a proper and even effect. The appropriate preparation is applied with a special brush once or several times, and the process is repeated based on the client’s requirements. A mild to moderate burning sensation is normal at this stage, lingering for a very short time. After that, the chemical peel is removed or neutralized, sometimes the region must be under occlusion for a better effect, but of course all that is individual, depending on the individual client’s requirements.
After that, a soothing mask is applied to calm the skin, and a hydrating cream is mandatory, helping to soothe and hydrate the skin. If it is done during sunny periods, a cream with a protective factor of 50 SPF is a must and we apply it so that you are safe until you arrive at your home.
Certain changes, such as melasma and solar lentigines, also require appropriate home care, which accelerates the process of skin rejuvenation and regeneration and maintains the existing results. Our professional and friendly doctors will recommend the best care based on your skin type and the treatment you are doing, so the care is rounded from start to finish.
When Should You Start with the Treatment?
There is no age limit when it comes to these treatments, precisely because they solve both the problem of acne inflammation, which most often occurs at a young age, and the changes caused by photoaging that occur in adulthood. It certainly starts when the changes are visible and start to be a nuisance.
How Many Treatments Are Required?
The number of treatments depends on the changes in the skin and how long you have had them. Of course, these treatments have a specific repetition protocol, depending on each individual. The effects certainly become visible even after the first treatment, but that does not mean that it is enough for a complete skin regeneration, so leave it all to our professional team, follow the instructions, and the result will not fail to appear.
